About Us

The treasure trove of fashion and fun that evolved to From A to Zebra started in 1999. "Many of our customers had moved from larger centres to central Vancouver Island. They loved the small town charm and rural beauty of their new home but missed big city access to unique, comfortable sophisticated fashion. From A to Zebra meets that need with our carefully selected lines of designer clothing and our unique accessories," From A to Zebra - allows a diversity of products that suited her vision of a boutique store. "It allows us to carry whatever we want."

From A to Zebra does not stock multiple racks of look-alike outfits. When a line is brought into the store, we only order one copy per size of each piece. This ensures unique outfits for each client and a wide diversity of styles, so everyone can find something to love.

"We go beyond the ordinary. We carry clothing from major Canadian and U.S. designers, fashion-forward European designs, accessories and jewellery from around the world, and irresistible gifts. From the silly to sublime - you'll find it all at From A to Zebra." Our blend of quality clothing, uniqueness and whimsy proved so popular in Parksville that From A to Zebra moved to a larger retail store at 155 East Jensen Avenue. In 2003, From A to Zebra then expanded to a second store, at #2 Church Street in Nanaimo.

As our staff becomes familiar with their customers, they often help clients develop their wardrobes. They may even watch for specific items when shopping for stock or allow a known customer to take an item home to ensure it fits into her wardrobe. They will also do custom re-orders, in order to get the perfect look for clients.

In 2007, From A to Zebra's exceptional customer service skills earned the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce's annual Sterling Award for customer service - an award we treasurers since recipients are nominated by their customers. The award proves that customers value the outstanding service offered by From A to Zebra.

From A to Zebra is a boutique fashion store that is emporiums of visual delights, enhanced by superb customer service. Their customers obviously agree, with many regulars bringing in friends and family to browse these entertaining emporiums to unearth their own treasures.
